The Bitpost website is a static informational website and uses only the following types of cookies:

2.1 Essential technical cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the website and do not require user consent.

They may be used to:

• maintain security;

These cookies do not collect personal data for profiling purposes.

2.2 Third-party cookies (Amazon Affiliate Program)

The website participates in the Amazon Associates Program.

When users click on affiliate links, Amazon may set its own cookies in order to:

• track eligible purchases;
• attribute traffic referrals.

These cookies are managed directly by Amazon and not by Bitpost.

2.3 Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

The website uses Google Analytics 4, a statistical analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to understand in aggregate form how the blog is being read.

These cookies are set only after the user has given consent through the banner. If the user declines or makes no choice, Google's script is not even loaded and no data is sent to Google.

Cookies used where consent is given:

• _ga — distinguishes users in pseudonymised form. Duration: 2 years.
• _ga_3ZGWPW0YQV — persists session state. Duration: 2 years.

The data collected covers pages visited, visit duration, device and browser type, traffic source and approximate location. In Google Analytics 4 the IP address is neither logged nor stored: it is used only transiently to derive approximate location and is then discarded.

No advertising, remarketing or demographic reporting features are enabled: the ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization parameters are set to “denied”.

Google acts as data processor. Data may be transferred to the United States on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision, to which Google LLC adheres.

3. Legal Basis

Technical cookies: legitimate interest (website functionality and security).

Google Analytics cookies: the user's explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code), given through the banner.

Amazon third-party cookies: governed by Amazon’s own policies and/or the user’s browser settings.

4. Cookie Management

On the first visit a banner is displayed offering two equally prominent options, “Accept” and “Reject”. Until the user chooses “Accept”, no analytics cookie is set.

Users can change or withdraw their choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. On withdrawal, any analytics cookies already stored are deleted.

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the use of the website.

Users can also manage or disable cookies directly through their browser settings.
